Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2026
This policy explains how AFSHAHIN Corporation ("Aradiq", "we", "us"), of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, collects, uses, discloses and protects personal information when you use the Aradiq website (aradiq.com) and the Aradiq application (app.aradiq.com). We follow the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and its fair information principles.
1. Who this applies to
- Business customers — the businesses that sign up for Aradiq and their staff ("you").
- Clients of our business customers — people whose contact details a business adds to Aradiq so the business can text them ("clients").
- Website visitors.
For client information, the business customer decides what to collect and why, and is responsible for having the client's consent. We process that information on the business's behalf and only to provide the service.
2. Information we collect
- Business account information: business name, owner email address, password (stored only as a secure hash), country, time zone, Google review link and settings.
- Billing information: subscription plan, add-ons, billing address and payment status. Card numbers are entered on Stripe's secure pages and are never stored on our servers.
- Client contact data uploaded by businesses: name, mobile phone number, email address (optional), last visit date and tags, added manually or by CSV import.
- SMS logs: the content of text messages sent and received through Aradiq, phone numbers, delivery status, timestamps, opt-out (STOP) and opt-in (START) records, and clicks on review-request links.
- Technical information: basic logs such as IP address, browser type and request times, used for security and troubleshooting.
The website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. The application stores a sign-in token in your browser so you stay logged in.
3. Why we use it
- To provide the service: send and receive text messages on the business's behalf, schedule rebook reminders and review requests, show conversations and statistics.
- To honour opt-outs: phone numbers that reply STOP are kept on a do-not-text list for that business so they are never texted again unless they reply START.
- To bill subscriptions, calculate taxes and prevent fraud.
- To secure the service, troubleshoot problems and keep usage within plan limits.
- To contact business customers about their account, billing and important service changes.
We do not sell personal information, and we never use client phone numbers or messages for our own marketing.
4. Service providers (processors)
We share personal information only with service providers that help us run Aradiq, under contracts that require them to protect it and use it only for the services they provide to us:
- Twilio — sends and receives text messages.
- Stripe — payment processing, subscriptions and sales-tax calculation.
- Microsoft Azure — application hosting and database storage.
- Cloudflare — website hosting, domain and network security.
- SendGrid (Twilio) — account and billing emails.
Some of these providers may store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be accessible to authorities under local law. We may also disclose information if required by law.
5. Retention
- Account, client and SMS data is kept while the business's account is open, so the service can work.
- After an account is closed, we delete or anonymize its client data and SMS logs within 90 days, unless the business asks for earlier deletion.
- Opt-out (STOP) records may be kept longer, only to make sure a person who opted out is not texted again.
- Billing and tax records are kept as long as Canadian tax law requires (generally six years).
6. Safeguards
We protect personal information with measures appropriate to its sensitivity, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, access limited to people who need it, and separation of each business's data so one business can never see another's clients.
7. Your rights: access, correction and deletion
- Business customers can view and correct their information in the app, and can ask us to delete their account and data by emailing [email protected].
- Clients can stop all texts from a business at any time by replying STOP. To access, correct or delete your information, contact the business that texted you. You can also write to us and we will help, or forward your request to the business.
We respond to access and correction requests within 30 days. You may withdraw consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions; withdrawing may mean we can no longer provide the service.
8. Contact and complaints
Questions, requests or complaints about privacy: [email protected], AFSHAHIN Corporation, Toronto, Ontario, Canada. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. We will post the new version here with a new "Last updated" date, and notify business customers by email of significant changes.
